The new wine Advent calendar features hand-picked wines in genuine half bottles - complemented by digital tasting videos with a WSET Level 4 sommelier.

The first siprise! wine Advent calendar launches in 2026 as a distinctive alternative to traditional Christmas calendars. Behind its 24 doors are not miniature samples, but 24 carefully selected wines in 0.375-litre half bottles. Each bottle pours around three glasses, making it ideal for tasting and discovering together.

The selection journeys through some of Europe's best-known and most exciting wine regions - from Burgundy, Bordeaux and Alsace to Rioja, Penedès, Piedmont and Tuscany, as well as the Pfalz, Rheinhessen and Austrian wine regions. Altogether, the calendar brings together wines from six European countries: France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Germany and Portugal.

It includes twelve white wines, nine red wines, one rosé and two sparkling wines. Wines already unveiled include a Crémant d'Alsace from Gisselbrecht, a Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay from Domaine Luquet, an Izadi Tempranillo Crianza from Rioja, a Bordeaux Supérieur from Château Penin and a Pinot Blanc from the Potzinger winery in southern Styria. Several of the wines and wineries have already been recognised by specialist publications and wine guides including Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, Falstaff and Guía Peñín.

Wine knowledge behind every door

A QR code gives customers access to a dedicated tasting video for each wine. In every video, WSET Level 4 sommelier Branko Mucina introduces the wine, its character, grape variety and origin. The calendar combines enjoyment, entertainment and well-founded wine knowledge.

The team has successfully developed and sold wine Advent calendars under the Korkenfreunde brand in Austria and Germany for several years. With siprise!, this proven concept is now expanding to the European market for the first time.
